When was a time networking worked for him?

"I mean, it's clear. I knew somebody, I heard a GOLF.com job opened up and I emailed the one person I knew at GOLF.com to give me the right contacts. I also happen to know a couple people just through my dad who were affiliated… Another thing is just where I get my stories from… My dad is in the golf business, he runs a consultant firm and real estate appraisal firm for golf courses. So he knows a ton of people in the golf industry."

"So when somebody in just one of our meetings said, 'Hey, I wonder how much money a links course spends on maintenance compared to compared to, like, a typical private facility in the United States'… But it's like my dad's best friends [with], and I've gotten to know him as well, the GM of Royal Dornoch, the number three course in Scotland… and it turns out, do an interview with them and it turns out they spend $1 million on maintenance every year while my club here in Philly, which has only nine more holes, is spending like $5 million… Those are the things I have access to because I've developed those relationships with people."
